Me

I'm a neutral kind of guy.
I'm easy to get along with,
Though I'm sometimes shy.
I'm friends with everyone,
With the adults I always try.
My feelings aren't hurt easily,
And i don't often cry.

I'm really laid back,
I'm happy with most everything.
Height isn't something I lack,
I'm easily teased,
I don't care what people think.

I can get obsessed with certain things.
I don't dream much,
But when i do it's quite a thing.
I can usually let go of a grudge.

I like to dance, write, and maybe sing,
Always happiness is what they bring.
I like to smile,
I'm a happy person,
And my mood doesn't usually worsen.

Girl In My Life

You are my friend, girl in my life.
In a dance, we can twirl without strife.

When I met you, with your eyes so blue,
I really couldn't keep my eyes off of you.

Your long, blonde hair, hanging down your back.
Every time we met eyes, your smile gave no slack.

I couldn't stop thinking about you, you put me in a spell.
I started feeling something, and it began to swell.

I look forward to seeing you, to look in your eyes.
To see you every day, it's my number one prize.

I don't like to see you frown,
And if you haven't smiled that day,
Then i have let you down.

Peas

I don't want to!
Just eat two!
I don't have to!
Then there's no dessert for you!
Let me see you eat them!
Okay, watch, i'll eat ten!
Yuck! that's gros!
But vegies will help you the most.
I don't care, they're yucky and green!
But what they can do, have you seen?
They're just peas, what can they do?
They'll make you strong and 6 foot 2!

I Think

I Think
I think you're funny.
I think you're smart.
I think you're pretty.
I think you can be good at art.
I think you're happy when i'm around.
I think you try to keep you're feet on the ground.
I think that you are just the right size.
I think I like the color of your eyes.
I think I like the sound of your voice.
I think I could dance with anyone but you are my choice.
I think I like it when you sit by me.
I think you can talk to me, just feel free.
I think you like me in a way.
I think it might grow from day to day.
I think I like to make you smile,
Even if it takes me awhile.
I think I like to make you blush,
But to tell you the truth, it doesn't take much.
I think I like how you're so modest.
I think I like your style to be honest.
I think you can be mean if you want to,
But I think now you try not to.
I think I like to talk to you,
And all i've said is completely true.

Cathy

Cathy
Cathy, Cathy, you're so kind.

When I think of happiness, you come to mind.

Why you're so nice, I cannot comprehend,
But one thing is true, you’re one of my best friends.

What I’d be like if I’d hadn't met you.
And I truly wonder what you'd be like too.

On the bus, there are so many memories;
These kinds of memories are not temporary.

You like to sing, a little bird with a beautiful song,
Flying in happiness, nothing ever seems to be wrong.

This is a poem about Cathy;
I'll remember you ‘till my voice is old and raspy.

I Am

I Am
I am a giant, with a cowlick in my hair.
I wonder why that cowlick is there.
I hear the voices of my friends like a person listening to the radio.
I see my dad, a Goliath next to my sister.
I want to be like him someday, strong as an ox, and tall as a tree.
I am a giant, with a cowlick in my hair.

I pretend to be a pro basketball player at my house.
I feel that writers’ block is a disease that I have.
I touch people with my poems.
I worry not about what people think of me, but what they think of my actions, and whether they can tell I’m good.
I cry when I feel a lot of strong emotions, usually sad.
I am a giant, with a cowlick in my hair.

I understand that I should not have hard feelings against anyone.
I say what I think is best.
I dream about being a world famous poet.
I try to look people in the eye.
I hope that I am a good friend.
I am a giant, with a cowlick in my hair.

Ballroom Dance

Ballroom Dancing
Having lots of fun, that’s what it’s all about.
The pure joy I feel makes me want to shout.

When I’m doing it, I feel happiness deep inside.
When it comes to do this, I surely will not hide.

When you get it down, your feet will be delighted.
When you hear of a chance, your heart will be excited.

So many styles and names there are.
With it, so many have gained fame,
And many have become a star.

Just like in The Beauty and The Beast,
There is no difference in the least.

You might be intimidated at first glance,
But you may find happiness, if you give it a chance.

The beat flows through my mind, steady and the same,
And if you try ballroom dance, there is much to gain.

Daniel

Daniel, Daniel, what a friend.
His kind of friendship is no pretend.

Sometimes i think, "Could anyone be greater?".
This here Daniel is not a traiter.

We have fun playing outside.
Sometimes we go on a four wheeler ride.

And when he's happy,
it's hard to hide.

So this is to you, Daniel my friend,
I hope this friendship never ends.
